MHSA Community Gatherings
Every year, we bring the community together by hosting club and community events as well as outings. Some of our past events include the Vasilopita Night, Pizza Mixer Night, Executive Meet & Greet at Gerts, Dinner/Dancing at Mythos, and the Konstantinos Argiros concert! Greek Independence Day Parade
Every year, the MHSA marches in the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal’s annual Greek Independence Day parade. The parade has been a tradition in Montreal for 40+ years and celebrates the Greek War of independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. Mark your calendars and come march with us!
Fundraiser Gala
Starting in 2015, the MHSA established its Fundraiser Gala, an annual event benefiting charity. Hosted in a grand reception hall, the night features live performances by traditional Greek dancers and musicians, as well as guest speakers. Our past guest speakers include Nicolas Sigalas, former Consul General of Greece in Montreal, Dr. Christos Karatzios from the Montreal Children’s Hospital, and Vilelmini Tsagkaraki, Visiting Instructor of the McGill Modern Greek Studies Department. The Fundraiser is currently on pause, but we hope to bring it back sometime in the future!
